Newsletter 37

Welcome back to the last half term of the school year, we have a busy and exciting term planned with our Arts Festival and Year 5 camp this week, the Year 6 production at the end of the month plus Year 6 camp and our Summer trips.

MORE STAFF NEWS
We are very sad to let parents and children know that Mr Vaughan and Mrs Dwyer will be leaving our school at the end of the this term.  Mr Vaughan will be moving to a teaching post at Elm Tree Primary School in Lowestoft, and Mrs Dwyer will be taking up a teaching position with Ilketshall St Lawrence.  Although we’re sorry to have to say goodbye to these two wonderful teachers, we know they will both have great success in their new schools, as will Mrs Spencer, Miss Ashberry and Mrs Seaward who have all been longstanding in our school and are taking steps to further their careers by choosing to teach in other schools. We wish them all every success.
I understand that families will be anxious at hearing this news, but I would like to reassure parents that we are doing all we can to actively recruit for the vacancies.  We are pleased to share that Mrs Cockle, who has been working with some of your children this year will stay on as a newly qualified class teacher in KS2, alongside Miss Bullock, an NQT in KS1.  Mrs Lord has agreed to become a full time teacher for at least the first term.  All the staff will ensure a smooth transition for all our pupils into the new academic year.
Thank you,   Mrs H Picton
