SATS & INTERNAL TESTING – from 11 to 21 May
Children from Year 1 – 6 are undergoing SATs tests and internal tests this week and next.  Please can we ask that parents exit the school buildings and grounds as soon as possible after the children come in in the morning. Thank you.
LAST MINUTE REMINDER FOR CHILDREN DOING SATs
Please remember to ensure that the children have a good breakfast before coming to school as this will help them concentrate through the morning SATs tests.

END OF TERM LUNCH – Thursday 21 May – CENSUS DAY
On the last day of term the kitchen are cooking a Roast Chicken dinner.
This day is also one of our census days, our school lunch funding is dependent on the number of KS1 pupils taking a school dinner on Thursday 21 May, so please encourage your child to have this lunch.  Thank you.

NEW ROAD/COUCY CLOSE PARKING DANGER
Due to parents parking illegally opposite Coucy Close and blocking view/access to the close there was an incident last week where a mum and her baby were knocked by a car at this junction.
We repeatedly ask for parents to find a safe and legal place to park, and we understand that this can be a challenge in Framlingham, but please allow a little extra time to find a safe place to park.  We do not want to have to report that a child has been hospitalized, or worse, because of unsafe parking causing danger on the road.
**** NEWSFLASH****** Following this incident the Police have taken an active interest in the issue and we attach a letter to all parents from Suffolk Constabulary.

WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK – 18 – 21 MAY
This item will not be relevant for children who come to school by bus.
We are keen to promote the wider health benefits of keeping active whilst also providing better promotion of road safety and sustainable travel and so we would encourage all families to walk to school next week if at all possible.
Perhaps those who normally drive into Framlingham could park on the outskirts of the town and walk in from there next week.   Please take a look at www.walktoschool.org.uk for activities, support and ideas for children and families for that week.

   TEACHING VACANCY
We are currently advertising for a KS2 teacher to start in September.
Visit the Suffolk Jobs Direct website here for details and application forms.

PARENT COUNCIL REQUEST…
We have been asked by the Parent Council to put the following in a letter to parents:
Please do not stand at the bottom of the stairs from RV/NS onto the playground so that teachers and children can access the playground and teachers can see parents when they collect their child.  Thank you.
