HOUSE SWIMMING GALA – THIS WEDNESDAY
A reminder for all pupils in DB, PASB, JA & ES to bring their swim kit on THIS Wednesday for the House Gala taking place at the College.
Races will start at 10.15; pupils will walk up to the College at 9.45am.
If you are coming to watch the gala, please meet at school at 9.35am.

NAMING YOUR CHILD’S BELONGINGS
It was apparent when the Lost Property box was cleared recently that there are many items of clothing or belongings that are not named.  If you have not named your child’s sweatshirt, shirts, trousers, skirts, coats, shoes or plimsolls etc then if they misplace them it is VERY UNLIKELY that they will get them back, as they all look the same!
PLEASE can we encourage you to CLEARLY name your child’s clothes, NOT just with initials; it needs to at least be a SURNAME, preferably with initial or first name too.
We have found lunchboxes, snack pots, trainers and lots more items that were unnamed and unclaimed at parents evening, so these are being taken to the local charity shop.
HAVE YOU GOT THE RIGHT COAT?
It has been brought to our attention that because items are un-named some of the children’s school coats have become mixed up.  Please can you check if your child is wearing their correct coat, if not then please see the class teacher.

FOUNDATION & KS1 CHRISTMAS PRODUCTION TICKETS
Tickets are being handed out today (Tuesday) so please check in your child’s book bags.
Doors will open at 8.50am for the Foundation production, and doors will not be opened for the KS1 performance before 10am.

SECOND HAND UNIFORM SALE
Many thanks go to Mrs Walker, Mrs Mackenzie & Mrs Nathan for their hard work in storing, sorting, washing, pricing & selling of the second hand uniform for the sale.  They raised a brilliant £168!

COMMISSION FROM SCHOOL PURCHASES
Just to let parents know that through making purchases for items from the Scholastic leaflet and buying school photos from Van Cols the school will receive a good commission, sometimes up to 20% of the purchase price.  We have just received £677 commission from the individual photos, which is brilliant, thank you to everyone who purchased these.
In addition, if you buy items from Yellow Moon, the Northbrook catalogue or shop online via the Giving Machine (naming Friends of Sir Robert Hitcham’s) then they will also get commission which comes to the school.

SEVERE WEATHER ARRANGEMENTS
We make every possible effort to ensure that the school remains open, but many of the staff live a long way away which involves difficult cross country journeys.  In the event of bad weather conditions, please listen to the radio for information with regard to whether the school has to be closed or not:
