WORLD BOOK DAY DRESS UP – THURSDAY
Just to remind all families that this Thursday 6 March, we would like the children to come to school dressed as their FAVOURITE BOOK CHARACTER for World Book Day.

SPRING REPORTS & PARENT CONSULTATIONS
Reports will be coming home this Friday.  Along with the report you will find a slip to be returned to book an appointment to meet with your children’s class teachers for Parent Consultations on either Wednesday 12 or Thursday 13 March from 3.30pm – 6.00pm.
Parents of PASB wishing to see both Mrs Akerman and Mrs Beddow together would be best to put in an appointment request for the Wednesday.
Please return this slip to your oldest child’s teacher by Tuesday 11 March.

PARENT CONSULTATIONS – 12 & 13 MARCH
In addition to booking an appointment to see your child’s class teacher (using the form enclosed with your child’s report) you may also book an appointment to see Mrs Picton or a parent Governor.  Please contact the school office who will book you an appointment time.

AND NO ART OR ORCHESTRA ON THURSDAY NEXT WEEK****

SECOND HAND UNIFORM SALE – 12 & 13 MARCH
The parent council will be selling second hand uniform during the parent consultation evenings on 12 and 13 March, including summer dresses.  They will be set up in the computer suite near the hall, so do bring some money and go along if your child is in need of more uniform.

BREAKFAST CLUB OPEN
Following the successful trial of the Breakfast Club before half term, we would like to advise parents that this club is open to any child from Reception to Year 6.
It runs every morning from 7.45am to 8.30am when the children are escorted to the playground.  No need for advance booking, just turn up at 7.45am via the side door to the hall, sign your child in and pay for the session (£3 per session).
Please see the office if you have any further questions.

MODEL MAKING – PLDD & EM
These classes will be making a large model of a combine harvester for the Suffolk Farm Fair competition.  They would like any items of packaging that would be appropriate to be used to build this model, please bring them into the school office if you have any.  Thank you.

YOUNG ART EAST ANGLIA
We are delighted to announce that 3 of our pupils, Edie Evans, Imogen Johnson and Olivia Lapage have been selected to be exhibited at the Peter Pears gallery in Aldeburgh on 14, 15 and 16 March. Congratulations go to these three whose work was chosen from 1800 entries.
Anyone can go along to see the art work from these pupils and others, entrance fee is £2 per adult (children free) and all proceeds go to Cancer Research UK.

FRIENDS CAKE STALL & AFTERNOON TEA
The Friends would like to thank classes PLDD & JA for their baking at the end of half term which raised £90 despite the awful weather.  Well Done!
Also, they would like to thank those parents who came along to the afternoon tea on Tuesday, and especially to Mrs Romero and Mrs Wood who baked the delicious cakes for it.

VIOLIN CONCERT – WEDNESDAY 26 MARCH 3.15pm
Parents are warmly invited to the annual concert of violin and viola pupils. It takes place at 3.15 on 26th March in the school hall, and lasts about 30 minutes. It is informal and fun. Parents and pupils who are considering starting lessons in September are also most welcome.

ONLINE DINNER PAYMENTS ARE PROVING SUCCESSFUL
We now have a good proportion of parents paying on-line for school dinners.  If you wish to give it a try please do so. You can access the SCC payment site via the link on the front page of our website http://www.roberthitchams.ik.org/
In order for your payments to register on our system on a Monday when we reconcile the dinner money, you will need to make the online payment on a Friday.
You can overpay if you owe dinner money, but you have to write the details in the comments box so we know what the extra payment is for.
Don’t worry if you have made payments and then your child has decided not to have a hot dinner, or were off sick, as all payments will just carry forward.
