NUTS IN SCHOOL AGAIN
It has been drawn to our attention that pecan nuts are being put into a child’s lunch box again.
We are a NUT FREE school as all parents are well aware, due to the risk to children who have nut allergies, so parents should not be putting nuts into lunch boxes.
The nuts are not being eaten, but are being thrown in the food waste bin; this has subsequently caused irreparable damage to the kitchen waste disposal unit.
Children are asked to take all un-eaten packed lunch food home so that parents are aware of their child’s school eating habits.
Thank you for your co-operation in keeping us a nut free school.

***Last minute notice***
Change to dinner for tomorrow
Due to a delivery issue the advertised

VICTORIAN DAY SUCCESS
Last Tuesday’s Victorian Day was a resounding success as staff and children entered into the spirit of the day by dressing and behaving appropriately (with children remaining in silence – for most of the day!- while a few raised voices were heard from members of staff, especially Mr Vaughan!).
Evident throughout the day though was the learning that was taking place.
Here are a selection of quotes from the children where they show quite clearly how much they gained from the day:
“The best part was Arithmetic because I learnt all the units of money and
measures they used back then”
“The day was brilliant!”
“The best part was sewing because we got to make a bookmark”
“ I enjoyed the whole day because it was fun”
“Victorian children were scared of their teacher – I’m glad I didn’t go to a Victorian school!”
“We got to ring the hand bell”
“The best part was drill because we learnt how to march”
“I enjoyed Geography because we learnt which countries were in the British Empire”
