OFSTED INSPECTION IN SCHOOL
As notified to parents yesterday, we have an Ofsted Inspection in school today and tomorrow.  Parents have been given / emailed a letter from Ofsted which includes access to an online parent survey for your views about the school.  Outcomes of the inspection will be shared with parents in due course.

MRS SPENCER’S BABY NEWS
We are delighted to let everyone know that Mrs Spencer gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Thursday, they have named him Lewis.  We send the whole family our congratulations on this lovely news.

FRIENDS EASTER HAMPER RAFFLE – Draw this week!
The Friends draw will take place in each classroom this Thursday.  Take a look at the BLOG for PHOTOS OF ALL THE HAMPERS.
Please make sure you have returned all raffle tickets (and money) to the class teachers
by Wednesday FIRST thing at the latest.

DISCO – KS2 SOLD OUT
There are no more tickets for KS2 & today was the last day to hand in ticket request for KS1.  THERE WILL BE NO TICKETS SOLD ON THE DOOR FOR EITHER DISCO.
VIOLIN CONCERT – Wednesday 20 March
The pupils who learn Violin at school will be performing a concert after school on Wednesday 20 March at 3.15pm-3.45pm.
Everyone is welcome to come and listen to them in the hall,

HOLY HORRORS – Wednesday 20 March    
This will be held in the downstairs activity area, and will be the LAST one before Easter.
Please bring painting aprons for this session.  The first session after Easter will be 24 April.

MAYPOLE  STARTS THIS THURSDAY
Maypole will start this Thursday (21 March) in the hall at 3.10 until 4.00pm.

EATs – NEW LUNCH MENUS   
Please find with this letter the lunch menus that run from April to October.

EATs – Easter Lunch – Thursday 28 March         
Eats Catering Easter Lunch on the last day of term will need to be paid for on Monday 25 April please, if you haven’t already paid for Thursdays.

HOUSE SPELLING RESULTS
Congratulations to Hitcham who are the winners of the House Spelling competition this year.  Well done to all 28 pupils from Year 3-Year 6 who took part, but a special ‘Well Done’ to the following who achieved full marks: Lucas Evans (DB), Marcus Bosworth (DB), Florrie Hulbert (NS) and Felix Aubugeau-Williams (DB).

LEAVING GIFT FOR MRS HAN – Crossing Patrol
As mentioned previously, sadly Mrs Han is leaving her role as Crossing Patrol at the end of this term.  If any parents wish to contribute to her leaving gift please leave your donation at the office.  Thank you.

BOOK FAIR COMMISSION
We are please to tell parents that we raised £173 in Book Fair commission, which has been used to purchase Library Books.  Thank you to all those who visited and purchased from the Book Fair.  Orders were much lower than in previous years for this event and we would welcome any feedback  from parents if they have any comments about this.

VOLUNTEER HELPERS STILL NEEDED FOR CYCLING TRAINING
If you would like to help with this we need about 4/5 volunteers to help on Thursday afternoons in the summer term.  If you will be able to help for any or all of the 5 sessions:
16, 23 May and 6, 13, 20 June, then please let the office know.  Thank you

RED NOSE DAY for COmic Relief
As well as selling 420 Red Noses, many children at school took part in small fundraising events to boost funds for Comic Relief. From balancing books on noses to sponsored silences, cake stalls to talent shows.  Take a look at the school Blog for photos from the day.

YEAR 6 MATHLETICS – Please use more!
Mrs Armstrong would like to remind all year 6 pupils to spend time at home using Mathletics.  The school pays a registration fee for each user, and the teachers can see that a number of the children have not been online for many weeks.  It is a great learning and revision tool that will help the pupils for their SATs tests in May. 

YEAR 6 REVISION GUIDES
The year 6 teachers would just like to advise parents of their pupils that there are many KS2 Year 6 revision guides for Maths and English available from retailers such as W.H.Smiths or Amazon, which you may wish to look into purchasing for the pupils to work through over the Easter break. 
ART CLUB
Art club require plastic carrier bags for a project they will be doing over the next few weeks. Any colours will be gratefully received, but we they be mainly be needing bags with white in them. Please leave them at the office. Thank you.
