WHY NOT TAKE A PEEK AT OUR ‘NEW LOOK’ WEBSITE….
We have given it a bit of a re-vamp in the way it looks and have updated lots of information about the school (including many of our policies and our brochures) and some very useful links to websites which can support your child’s learning.
We would like to thank Mrs Seeley & Mr Whiteley for their brilliant design and technical skills in updating the look of the site at www.roberthitchams.ik.org

THREADWORM IN SCHOOL
We have been advised that there has been a case of Threadworm in the school.
We felt it was important that parents and pupils understand a bit about this as it is quite common in children under 10 and can very easily be spread.
The following information was taken from the NHS website:
Threadworms are the most common type of worm infection in the UK, and they are particularly common in young children, infecting up to half of all children under the age of 10.
Threadworms are white and look like a small piece of thread. You may notice them around your child's bottom or in your or your child's stools (poo). They don't always cause symptoms, some notice itchiness around their bottom, which can be worse at night and can sometimes disturb sleep.
You can treat threadworms yourself with medication available at pharmacies. However, treatment does not kill the eggs hatched by threadworms. Good hygiene is the only way to prevent the eggs from spreading and causing further infection.”
In school, teachers have been discussing with the children about the importance of regular hand washing, especially after using the toilet.   Please can we ask that parents help to reinforce this message.  The school cleaning service are helping to eliminate this through a deep clean of high risk areas.  Thank you.

SCOOTER MISSING
A child’s scooter (faded red in colour) appears to have been taken from the bike rack near the back playground on Tuesday morning around 8.30am.  If you have mistakenly taken the  scooter, please can we ask that you return it to the bike rack.  Thank you.
