WORLD LAND TRUST VISIT – Tuesday 21 February
As part of this term’s topic ‘Rainforests and the Tropics’ pupils in classes KT, RV and PLDD are meeting with a team from the World Land Trust, to learn about their work as an international conservation organisation that takes direct action to save rainforest and other wildlife habitats. WLT and its overseas project partners have been instrumental in the purchase and protection of over 500,000 acres, now protected as permanent wildlife reserves.

NO AFTERSCHOOL HOCKEY ON 21 & 28 FEBRUARY
Due to Mr Brook being on Jury service there will be no Hockey on 21 & 28 February.
NO CLUBS ON PARENT CONSULTATION DAYS
Please note apart from Holy Horrors there will be no afterschool clubs on 28 & 29 February.

SPRING REPORTS & PARENT CONSUTLATIONS
Reports will be given to all pupils in Year 1-6 on Thursday 23 February; following on from this parents may (if they so wish) book an appointment to see the class teachers on either Tuesday 28 or Wednesday 29 February. Booking forms will be enclosed with the reports.
Please note: Miss Montague is not available on 28 Feb but will be available on 1 March.
Mr Brook is on Jury service so his parent consultations will take place on 7 & 8 March.

ART CLUB FOR YEAR 5s
Art Club for Year 5 starts on Thursday 23 February; children should have a painting apron and will need to be collected at 4.15pm from the upstairs activity area.

VACANCY FOR MORNING PLAYGROUND SUPERVISOR
We still have a vacancy for a morning Playground Supervisor; the hours are 8.30am – 8.50am for 5 mornings per week during term time. The rate of pay is £6.38 per hour.
The applicant for this role would also be required to take on any emergency cover for the Crossing Patrol in case of absence (which will be from 8.15am). Full training will be given.

The Friends would like to let parents know that a whopping £148.51 was raised at PLDD & RV’s cake stall. Thank you to everyone who baked and bought!

FRAMLINGHAM COUNTY MUSIC SCHOOL – NEW ENSEMBLES & PERCUSSION
Suffolk County Music Service's have added the opportunity to begin to learn percussion or to join the mixed or string ensemble at Thomas Mills High School between 9.00 and 10.30 on Saturday mornings. The first Session is on Saturday 25 February 2012 at 9.00 a.m.
